Set Up & Tear Down

SET-UP

Saturday, November 2, 2019 displays will be moved from Sandrin Secure and brought to Centennial Park starting at 9:00 a.m.  Needed are volunteers to drive flat beds and trucks, load displaysat Sandrin and unload displays at Centennial Park.  There are over thirty displays to transport, so the need for at least three flat beds and several trucks is necessary.  Usual time involved is approximately 2-3 hours.

Friday, November 15, 2019 – Crane to Park

The crane, supplied by Sterling Crane will be at the park at 9:00 a.m.  Manpower is needed to help place displays in proper place once the crane has raised it.  If time is available we hope to raise the Candle Arch, Gift Box Bear, Post Card, Season’s Greetings and Snoopy & the Red Baron then onto to the Firemen’s Tree. 

Saturday, November 16, 2019 – Community Set Up – 9:00 a.m.

Volunteer students and adults are needed to complete the cleanup of displays, set them up and string lights in the trees.  Lunch will be provided at noon.  Students will be placed with adults to work through each display by cleaning up, replacing bulbs and assembling.  Once this is completed the display will be raised in place.

Saturday, November 23, 2019 – Opening Ceremonies

TEAR DOWN

Monday, January 6, 2020 – Crane to Park

Volunteers will be needed to help release the stakes and poles of the displays that need to be lowered, especially if the temperature has been cold.

Saturday, January 11, 2020 – Community Tear Down

Adult and student volunteers will be needed to dismantle displays, take lights from trees and have them set by the sidewalk to make it easier to load displays on trucks and flat beds to return them to containers Sandrin Secure.  Please come down and help us put the lights away for another year.   Students remember your community time sheets.
