Set-Up & Tear Down


Saturday, November 3, 2018 displays will be moved from VIP Secure and brought to Centennial Park starting at 9:00 a.m. Needed are volunteers to drive flat beds and trucks, load and unload displays. There are over thirty displays to transport, so the need for at least three flat beds and several trucks is necessary. Usual time involved is approximately 2-3 hours.

Friday, November 16, 2018 – Crane to Park – 9:00 a.m.
The crane, supplied by Sterling Crane will be at the park at 9:00 a.m. Manpower is needed to help place displays in proper place once the crane has raised the display. If time is available we hope to raise the Candle Arch, Gift Box Bear, Post Card, Season’s Greetings and Neptune and then onto to the Firemen’s Tree.

Saturday, November 17, 2018 – Community Set Up – 9:00 a.m.
Volunteer students and adults are needed to complete the cleanup of displays, set them up and string lights in the trees. Lunch will be provided at noon. Students will be placed with adults to work through each display by cleaning up, replacing bulbs and assembling. Once this is completed the display will be raised in place.
Students remember your time sheets.


Friday, January 4, 2019 – Crane to Park
Volunteers will be needed to help release the stakes and poles of the displays that need to be lowered, especially if the temperature has been cold.

Saturday, January 12, 2019 – Community Tear Down at 9:00 a.m.
Volunteers are needed to dismantle displays and help load trucks and flat beds.  Anyone with a truck or flatbed is needed to transport displays and totes to the containers which will be located at Sandrins and help unload.  If you have some free time come on down and help us put the lights away for another year.  Students don’t forget your time sheet.
